Pros VS Cons

So I recently did a Pros vs Cons list about the two career fields I'm thinking of going into. And when I say I'm shocked. I just wish I new about the careers of CAAs a little sooner. I'm Going to post it below. Now when I take the time and look at both lists, I can say CAA is the better option. I plan on shadowing both a physician and CAA this summer, and then I'll do another post similar to this. To see if my lists will still have the same amount of pros vs cons.

                                                        Becoming a Physician.

PROS

CONS

I get to call myself a doctor.

    4 more years of schooling.

MD After my name.

Plus at least 3 years of Residency

Can open up own practice one day. Independent office.

Surgery Specialty is not guaranteed, and that would 1-2 more years of residency.

Salary of 400K+ After Residency.

I would get paid less during residency than what I make now as a teacher, working 80 hours a week.

Can work in any country I want.

Living off Loans for 4 years in medical school, because I won’t be able to work.

I would have to struggle longer as a single mom.

May not be able to afford rent in residency

Working a lot of hours, always needing a nanny for Gianny.

 Becoming a CAA.

PROS

CONS

Flexible Schedules

CAA would be the end title.

Guaranteed Overtime

No independent Practice

Salary of 250K

Can’t practice in another country. Limited states.

6-10 weeks of PTO

2 years and 4 months program

West Palm Campus

Finished by 2026

I can do multiple jobs that would boost my salary to 350 K

I can have time for Gianny.

No residency.

I can always go back to medical school one day, if I want.

G-WAGON by 2026.

More traveling.

Content Creator Life

 Less Debt.

Back from Tallahassee update

Hey so were are basically in the middle of June, and I'm back from my weeklong trip to Tallahassee. The trip was amazing. Not only did I have a lot of fun, but it's a paid trip, and  I will become a published author for CPALMS once I officially submit those 3 lesson plans lol. So let me break the trip down. So CPALMS is a website that provides teachers all over the country with free online resources they can use in the classroom. So the state of Florida wants to integrate civics into other subjects. Subjects like math, science, reading. And they have created new standards that are civics standards for this. So CPALMS flew out 120 teachers (including me lol) to Florida's capitol to attend the weeklong professional development. So when I say they flew us out, they flew us out. We had airfare provided, they gave us rentals, they paid for our meals, and provided us with hotel stay. LOL heyyyyyyyyyy!!!!! I never been flew out before, that was a first lol. It was a great time. They had breakfast for us each morning. They took us out on field trips. We even went and got a tour of the supreme court, and I was able to play chief justice. Ya'll it was a good time. I'm going to post pictures below.

So a typical day while was there, looked like this:

6 am: Wake up and go to the hotel gym.

7am: Shower, Clean room, get dress.

8am: Check emails, create to do list

8am: breakfast on third floor of hotel with other teachers.

9am-12: Professional development in hotel conference rooms

12-1:30: Lunch, yes we had 90 minutes for lunch lol.

1:30-5: Professional development in hotel conference rooms

Evening: Chilled in my hotel room, Tried a different restaurant daily, went out to the bar.

All in all, it was ahmazing!!!
