End of Month Check-In 🌟

 Hey y’all! August has finally wrapped up, and wow—it feels so good to say that. This month has been a whirlwind of changes and challenges. Between juggling three jobs (yes, three! 😅) and everything else on my plate, it’s been exhausting but also rewarding. My bank account might not be thrilled with August, but hey, I made it through!

On top of work, I’ve been diving into GRE prep. I’m planning to take the exam at the beginning of October, and right after, I’ll be submitting my applications to CAA programs. I know mid-October might feel a little late in the cycle, but luckily, the schools I’m applying to haven’t even started interviews yet. Fingers crossed it all works out! 🤞

Here’s my school list for this cycle:

1. NOVA – Tampa

2. NOVA – Orlando

3. NOVA – Jacksonville

4. NOVA – Fort Lauderdale

5. South University – Orlando (they haven’t even opened applications yet, so I guess I won’t be too late after all!)

Wish me luck as I take this next big step. If things don’t work out this round, I’ll be pivoting to medical school in the Caribbean in May 2026. Either way, the journey continues, and I’m excited to see where it leads.

Hey y’all!

Just had to pop in for a quick update—I am so overwhelmed right now! Gianny’s birthday party is this Sunday and wow... I seriously didn’t realize how much work goes into planning a party! 😂 OMG, never again (at least not for a few years, lol).

Fingers crossed Gianny loves it! I’m expecting around 25 guests, and we’re hosting it in our backyard/patio. We’ll have a bounce house, decorations, food, and music—going all out for my girl!

I’ll be posting pics next week so y’all can see everything—and of course, some TikTok videos too!

 Hey y’all,

August is in full swing, and honestly... I’m already feeling overwhelmed. This month is always hectic for me. I went from working one job to juggling three again. On top of that, I’m back in full-on mommy mode—getting Gianny ready for school every single day.

I only get Sundays off during the school year, so time is super tight. To make things even more intense, I’ve got just one month to study for the MCAT. My exam is scheduled for September 12—wish me luck! I only need a 500 to apply to U.S. med schools, and at least a 121 in both BB and CP for my top-choice Caribbean school. I know I can do it—I just have to stay consistent and focused.

I’ll try my best to keep posting weekly, but honestly, my plate is full. That said, I’ve noticed a lot of y’all are reading and engaging with the blog lately. WOW. I never imagined that three years later, this blog would be doing exactly what I hoped—reaching people who are on a similar journey.

This upcoming year is definitely going to be interesting—especially with the changes to Grad PLUS loans. In a weird way, it’s kind of a blessing. It’s forcing me to take my plans more seriously. If I don’t start school by July 2026, I might not be able to go back for a few years, because I really depend on those Grad PLUS loans to survive.
