Feeling Lost......

Hi everyone,

I sit for the GRE again in three weeks, and I’m feeling a bit lost about what comes next. I took a practice test a few days ago and only improved by three points from my last score. Honestly, that has me worried—my previous score was pretty average, and I know people with higher scores who still didn’t get in.

Because of that, I’m preparing to apply to a Caribbean medical school as my plan B. But I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t nervous. Moving to a different city is one thing, but relocating to an entirely new country for twenty months—with my six-year-old—feels huge. I just hope I don’t fail.

Hopefully my next post will bring better news. Right now, I’m unsure about my future. What I do know is that I don’t want to keep teaching.

$1.7 Billion Jackpot: A Teacher’s Lottery Daydream

The Powerball jackpot has hit a jaw-dropping $1.7 billion! The next drawing is tomorrow, and wow… the things I would do if I ever had that kind of money.

In Florida, the lump sum payout after taxes is estimated to be around $500 million. Can you imagine?! People always say winning that much money changes you, but honestly, I don’t think it would change me all that much. I don’t even need all of it — give me $50 million and I’d be set for life, lol.

Of course, the odds are ridiculously slim — about 1 in 229 million. You’re more likely to get struck by lightning than win. But hey, it doesn’t hurt to dream a little, right?

So today’s post is all about what I would do if tomorrow was my lucky day.

First things first: I’d quit my middle school teaching job. (Love my students, but let’s be real.) I’d still keep teaching part-time as a professor, though. I think having some kind of work would keep me grounded and prevent me from going wild with spending.

Next, I’d hire an MCAT tutor and fully dedicate myself to medical school without the stress of working full-time. I’d pay off my car, clear out all my student loans, and put plenty away for Gianny’s future. Of course, I’d also help my parents — paying off my mom’s mortgage would be at the top of the list.

I’d invest wisely, give back through philanthropy, and make sure to donate to causes that matter to me. And yes… I’d definitely splurge a little. A new house, a nanny, a fitness trainer, and maybe even a personal assistant to help keep life organized.

But most importantly, I’d make sure that money lasted — for Gianny’s education, my medical school tuition, and to support us through residency. Financial security, freedom, and a chance to give back — that’s the real dream.

So now I’ll toss the question back to you: What would YOU do if you won the lottery?

“I’ve Submitted My Application — May the Odds Be Ever in My Favor!”

So I applied to 7 schools 1. University of New Mexico 2. NSU-JAX 3. NSU- FLL 4.South WPB 5. NSU- Orlando 6. NSU- Tampa 7. South- Orlando
