Hi everyone!
It’s officially November 2025, so I wanted to do a quick monthly check-in. I submitted all my applications on October 15, and I haven’t heard anything back yet—just confirmation emails saying that each school received my application.
I created a folder in my email to keep track of all messages from the schools so I can build an application timeline and stay organized. One school emailed me saying they didn’t see my GRE scores, so I had them resent and followed up. About a week later, they replied with:
“We will begin our preliminary evaluation of your application and will email you with any updates.”
So I guess they do some kind of pre-screening. I’m not entirely sure how it works, but we’ll see! Hopefully, I’ll hear back from at least one school by December and can share more updates then.
Other than waiting to hear from programs, I’ve realized that there are only six months left until I might have to move. Remember I mentioned that if I don’t get accepted into any AA programs, I plan to attend medical school in the Caribbean. The schools I’m interested in start in May 2026, which means I only have November, December, January, February, March, and April left.
I’m honestly excited because I’m over teaching at this point—but I’ll need to retake the MCAT in January, which I was really hoping to avoid.
