Adjunct Professor
I received an email last week from the Biology department chair at my local state college about an interview for an Adjunct position. Man was I excited. I'v been applying for adjunct positions since I received my first masters. They are difficult to get. Basically an Adjunct professor is a part time professor. All you need is a Masters degree to adjunct. I applied for this position back in May of 2023, and I finally heard back from them in November 2023. That's 6 months. Anyway my Teaching Demo, was on the Cell Cylce. I arrived, gave my lesson, and they asked me a couple of questions. Last they took my transcripts. The interview wasn't really an interview. It was so laid back lol. It was the department chair, the lab manager, and I think one of the deans of the school. The dean came in late, because she was in a meeting. However the position doesn't start until May, since spring semester courses are already full. So I guess I have to wait until May!!!!
