I'm back from Vacation! 6 days until my next vacation!

So I'm back from saint Maarten, and yes in 6 days I'm headed to Aruba! Crazy right?? Lol, but yes I have two vacations in one month. Lol, insane right? So basically Saint Maarten was a solo trip, and Aruba is a group girls trip! I'm exited for Aruba! It's going to be so much fun. This is my first girls trip lol and I'm in my late twenties. Anyway let's talk about Saint Maarten, so Saint Maarten was defintely not what I expected. Techincally I went to two countires. I went to St. Maarten and anguilla. Okay So Day 1: I took the Tri-rail to FLL Airport, then after checking in, It was a 3 hour flight from Florida to St Maarten. The flight was cold and long. I neeed to remember to bring a blanket for my Aruba trip. So when I arrived in St Maarten, the airport was smalled compared to Haiti lol. I just kept comparing St Maarten to Haiit lol. The island is small, You could drive around the entire island in one day. Now the island is divided into two sides. A dutch side, and a French side. So I got a rental car, because I wanted to move however I pleased. Now there is public transportation available, and they're buses that go up and down the main roads of the island. There's not that many roads. But I just wanted a rental. My airbnb was located on the dutch side, close to downtown. Now when I first saw the area my airbnb was located I was a little scared, because there was loud music playing, and it was located next to a bar. But the airbnb was actually clean. The room was small, but the bathroom was inside the room, and it was clean. The A/C worked, there was cable tv, lol and secuirty cameras. So I felt safe. I quickly showered, and went exploring. I went to Bell's lookout point to take some pictures, and drove around the Island. Then for dinner I went to a seafood restaurant called Skip Jack's and had seafood with a pina colada. Now the restaurant is known for it's lobster. I'm just not a fan of lobster lol. I had the seafood platter, and it was good. I also had dessert. It was so peaceful. The restaurant was located near the water. And as it got dark you could see the lights. The drive home from the restaurant, you could see the lights on the mountians, it was so beautiful.
Day 2: Anguilla So Day 2 started off rainy. It was raining so bad. Now Anguilla, is known for it's beautiful beaches. So I started to feel discouraged, because I didn't see the point of going to Anguilla if it's raining. But I told myself, we are literally in the cariibbean, the sun has to eventually come out. So to go to Anguilla , you have to catch a fest ferry. Now you can catch the ferry from the dutch side, near the airport, or the french side in Marigot. Now the ferry on the french side is cheaper. So I took my rental car to the french side, Now keep in mind where the port is located is near a public market. So it was hard to find parking near the port, because all the spots are taken. So I had to park way past the market. I didn't want t leave my rental car anyway because I noticed people park on the side of the road, and I didn't want to get charged with any damages just in case my car got hit. I almost missed the ferry because I was running late. Now the ferry did end up coming 20 minutes late. So The port has ferrys to anguilla, and to St. Barths. So techincally I could have went to St. barths also, but I chose to go to anguilla. The ferry ride is $60 roundtrip. Taxes were $16. Now also keep in mind these are tourist islands they charge an extra 15% service on almost everything. Even when I went out to dinner, there was a 15% service charge added, this doesn't include tips. So yes if you add this up, it can get pricey quick! So the ferry took 20 minutes, and the waters were rough lol. Sit at the top of the ferry, it feels a little better, and the views ae beautiful. Now it was raining when we left st maarten so I didn't have that option. Once I arrived in Anguilla, they stamped my passport, I got a rental, and headed to SHOAL BAY BEACh. This beach is know for being one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. The water is blue, like clear blue, like blueeeeee blue, lol and the sand is white. It was gorgeous. Definitely worth seeing!!! Then I headed to the anguilla arch. I saw one iguana and ran. Lol I hate iguanas! I had lunch on the beach, and caught the 4:30 ferry back to St Maarten. Anguilla is also a small island. They drive on the left side of the road. There wasn't really anything else to do. Everyone on these islands look like tourists lol. It's literally a melting pot of different cultures.
