My first Anesthesia Assistant application has been verified!!!
I just submitted my first application to AA school! Yay! My application was verified in just 24 hours, which means the school I applied to has received it. I’m so happy! After a year of retaking classes and working three jobs, I can finally see the finish line ahead. Now, the real wait begins.
Remember, the application cycle can take an entire year. For example, the first school I applied to doesn’t start classes until September 2025. This means a school could keep you waiting almost a year before you hear anything back. Usually, schools will first send out interview invitations or rejections. They typically run interviews from September to April, so if I don't hear anything, they have until April to let me know if they want to invite me for an interview. After the interview, you're either accepted right away, rejected, or waitlisted. So, I don't know when I'll hear back—the wait has just started.
The first school I applied to didn’t require the GRE, so I didn’t want to wait any longer and submitted my application. The earlier you apply, the better! As for the rest of the schools I'm applying to, I won’t submit those applications until October when I receive my GRE score. I’m taking everything one day at a time, continuing to pray over my application, and leaving it all to God. Bye!!!
