Happy New Year, everyone—welcome to 2026! 🎉
I’m officially back to work today after two full weeks off, and when I say I rested… I rested. I stayed in bed, did absolutely nothing, and it felt amazing.
Now it’s time to jump back into the spring semester. This term, I’ll be working at the middle school, supporting one HH student, and teaching four classes at the college. Compared to my usual packed schedule, this is pretty light—and I’m grateful for that because I have less than four months before I move.
That means packing up a house, putting things into storage, buying plane tickets, all while preparing to start medical school. It still feels surreal to say that out loud. After an eight-year gap, this is finally the year I step away from the field of education and begin this next chapter.
Wow.
I’m excited, nervous, and incredibly grateful—and I’ll be taking you all along on this journey with me. In just four short years, I’ll be able to call myself Dr. Ginny Cassandra.
Alright, bye for now! I’ll try to post here at least once a month. 💕
