Hi yall!!! So I have officially started medical school!!! That is still so crazy for me to say out loud, but it’s true. I’m in lectures all day from 8 AM to 4 PM, and I honestly didn’t realize how exhausting it would be to sit in class all day long. My first exam is only 2 weeks away too!
For semester 1, I’m taking biochemistry, anatomy, and physiology. I don’t mean to brag lol, but I’m honestly not too worried about anatomy and physiology. It’s biochemistry that has me stressed. I’ve taken it before, but at the medical school level it is SO much more intense. Like for example, today’s lecture basically covered Chemistry 1, Biology 1, and Organic Chemistry 1 and 2 from undergrad in less than 2 hours. Yes… literally crazy lol.
So far, my school schedule has been able to work with Gianny’s school schedule, but she doesn’t have school this Friday, so I had to figure out childcare. Thankfully, I found the wife of another medical student who stays home during the day and was willing to watch her for an affordable rate. Thank God because I’m no longer working and officially living off savings and loans lol.
This week I did get some unexpected income, which was a blessing, but somehow every time extra money comes in, extra bills magically appear out of nowhere too 😂
But for now, I am soooo sleepy. Hopefully I can post another blog soon!!!
